EU CERC

Cooperation tool

The EU Circular Economy Resource Centre (EU CERC) is a joint initiative of the European Commission, the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland, Sitra, and Enabel, aimed at accelerating the global transition to a circular economy.

Through a collaboration platform between the European Union and partner countries, the EU CERC promotes the adoption of circular policies, practices, and business models, providing access to knowledge, tools, and specialized advisory support.

The centre works in close coordination with the World Circular Economy Forum (WCEF) and complements existing initiatives to scale solutions and strengthen capacities at the global level.

ELEMENTS OF AI

Free online course

In the context of the circular economy, AI is a key tool to optimize resources, improve waste management, and support data-driven decision-making. For this reason, Finlandia Circular promotes this type of training, as strengthening digital capabilities is essential to drive sustainable solutions and accelerate the green transition.

Elements of AI is a free online course by MinnaLearn and the University of Helsinki that explains in a practical way what artificial intelligence is, what it can (and cannot) do, and how to start applying it.

SUSTAINABLE GROWTH
WITH CIRCULAR ECONOMY BUSINESS MODELS

The climate crisis and biodiversity loss demand an urgent shift in the economic model, moving away from excessive resource use and overconsumption. The circular economy offers an alternative based on maximizing the value of existing resources through better design, digital solutions, and a shift from ownership to usage.

This playbook, developed by Sitra and Deloitte, provides a practical guide for companies to adopt circular business models, unlock new opportunities, access new markets, and achieve sustainable growth. In essence, it supports the transition from a linear to a circular economy aligned with the planet’s limits.
