Official launch of
Circular Finland in Panama
In October, we held the official launch cocktail party for Finlandia Circular in Panama City, marking the beginning of this new regional platform that connects Finland's leadership in the circular economy with the opportunities and challenges of Latin America.
This first meeting brought together representatives from the public and private sectors, international organizations, and Finnish companies, who
They explored innovative solutions in energy, waste management, environmental remediation, digitalization, and sustainable transition models.
Finlandia Circular is an official side event of the World Circular Economy Forum (WCEF) and will continue with upcoming editions in Colombia, Peru and Chile throughout 2025, strengthening cooperation between Finland and the region on sustainability and circular economy.
We thank all the partners, companies, and participants who joined us for this first edition in Panama. What began in October is charting an exciting regional path toward circularity and sustainability in Latin America.

Circular Finland: Innovation and sustainability for Panama
On October 28, Panama City was the scene of a day full of energy, ideas, and collaboration during the first edition of Finlandia Circular: Innovation and Sustainability for Panama.
Tickets for the in-person event sold out, confirming the country's strong interest in accelerating its transition to more sustainable models. The session brought together key players from the Panamanian and Finnish ecosystems: SITRA, Business Finland, the Finnish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Panamanian Ministry of the Environment, the Finnish Embassy, cooperation agencies, the private sector, academia, and business leaders committed to green innovation.
The public learned firsthand about cutting-edge solutions from Finnish companies such as Wärtsilä, Lamor, Dekati, Proventia, Mirka, Ecomond and Vaisala, all global leaders in energy transition, waste management, environmental measurement, applied circularity, and clean technologies.
During the morning, presentations, panels, and strategic dialogues sparked new ideas and concrete opportunities for collaboration between Finland and Panama in key sectors such as energy, waste, sustainable construction, and digitalization.
